I was wearing a rather fetching hi-viz dayglo vest
, with reflective stripes on it, directing bikes off the main road, turning them right down a footpath so they could park up on the all weather pitch. (I was the good looking one, who did the job better than any one else!!!!!!!!)
The force even arranged for me to get a free cheese burglar and chips off one of the greasy spoon vans
