Sorry in advance for the trouble I'm having describing this.
On a '99 curvy, there's a small black plastic piece that covers the inside of the mirror mounts, which attaches to the front fairing and slots into the dash plastic assembly, beneath the front screen.
I had an off and had to take apart the whole front clip; in putting it all back together, I find that slotting this piece into the dash plastic assembly is a royal pain in the neck.
Are there any tips/tricks to getting this to slot in easier? The "brute force" method will eventually work
, but because the screw that holds on the dash assembly is covered by this piece, I can't loosen it to adjust things before I tighten them down.
If this is too stupid a description, let me know and I'll post some pics tonight.
