Thought I would post a thread here before I get too far with the rebuild of Samnooshka's bike.
I'm basically gauging interest before laying out on forks etc to rebuild the front of the bike, as, with the damage this bike has, it could make someone a decent track bike, or form the basis of a streetfighter project, with work.
Basic details:
2005 SV650S.
Black
Approx. 16,000 miles (I will check and get a more accurate figure this evening)
Damage Details:
Bottom Yoke bent
Both Forks bent (One
possibly repairable)
Mudguard Cracked
Front Fairing cracked and scuffed
Right hand mirror snapped.
Front Subframe possibly bent
Right Hand Footpeg gone (Snapped at pivot, rest of footrest assembly looks OK)
Rear Brake lever bent (Probably usable but an interesting shape)
Tank has several dents but is usable
Bar ends scuffed
Front Brake lever missing
Oil Cooler bent (But working, it isn't holed, as this was from a previous off and has been used for the last 18 months)
Rear plastics scuffed but in tact.
Scorpion exhaust scuffed and dented, but usable.
It is possible that some of the damage has slipped my mind atm, but obviously any prospective buyer is more than welcome to come over and give the bike any inspection they wish. (Apart from riding it, 'cause it's broke innit

)
Also this bike has been lowered using longer dogbones at the back, and we don't have the originals to swap back to.
The frame is good. I have checked it over and can see no scrapes etc. Both lockstops are still intact and the headstock looks good.
Both wheels are OK, and have virtually brand new Metzeler Sportec M1's on.
Source a Gixer front end and tidy up the cosmetics and you have the beginnings of a track bike.
At this stage I'm not willing to break the bike, due to time and space restrictions, and am offering it here to see if anyone wants to buy it as is, before I spend time and money on getting it to a rough saleable condition.
The bike is in Guildford if you want to come and have a look, or I have a digital camera, so can supply pics if required.
PM me with any questions. If your interested make me an offer.
