I know how you feel the only time I ever droped a bike was because of boots. I have a pair of alpinestars and the soles are very hard on them so offer little grip especially in the wet.
Put my foot down and it just went straight out from under me right in front of a bus stop and about 20 people, being a dishy bloke myself
no one came to my rescue.
Luckly it was a naked bike so no damage done (except to my ego)
Would have been a whole lot worse had it been my sv.
