A truly humble person doesn't consciously make the decision to be humble because they're concerned about what others think of them.

If I was looking at something a bit "flash" then I would seriously ask myself why I want it, and if for a moment I thought it was even partly so that others would be envious of me, then I wouldn't get it. I wouldn't enjoy it enough. If, however, I wanted it for the right reasons, then I would get it, enjoy it, and not care for a moment that others would be envious.
