So at a guess it could be the alarm or the sidestand cut out switch perhaps thats causing your problem. I know on my GSXR that the fuel rail wont prime until I've got rid of "Check" off the dash, but I'm not 100% sure if the SV works the same way.



OK well that could be the starter solenoid / relay. I found it clicks when the battery doesnt have enough juice in it and it wont turn the starter motor over. So you might be wise to check your battery or charging circuits if you are competant enough. Have a search for posts by "Sid Squid" about the charging circuits and it'll tell you what you need to do.
