Getting the bike out of the shed. I walked backward out of the shed, lost my footing and slipped. Bike landed on my legs and the gear lever was digging right into my foot. The more I tried to escape from under the bike the more the lever dug into my foot. I was stuck under my bike not more than 5 paces from my front door. I thought about shouting for some help, but decided that seeing as it was still quite early, the chance of it being Jo that came to my rescue was quite slim. It would more than likely be one of the boy racers from across the road. That would have been even more embarrassing than I already felt now, without anyone having seen it.
I eventually, with an extreme amount of cursing and pain, managed to free myself enough to wriggle out.
Thank god no one saw me, I think I would have melted into the tarmac with embarrassment.
