My baffles were well lodged in place on my Yoshi. I used the pliers pulling at the top, then bottom, then top etc and started inching it out by 10ths of a mill every time. It took ages. Once I had it out by about a cm I squirted wd40 on it and pushed it back in a bit to grease it.

I think the problem was that Yoshi had put some wierd white compound on the baffle to make it airtight. Now I have cleaned it up the baffle goes in and out really easily.
