Default Re: How's the Suzuki GRS 600 anyone know?

I test rode one of these before I bought the SV.

They are okay. For the money I would have expected a lot more bike. It's quite a bland experience to be honest and leaves you feeling a little indifferent. It just felt the same as the bandit to me but with less character. As far as I remember it has a re-tuned (see de-tuned) engine from the Gixxer 600 which was okay but quite peaky, revs max out at 14 rpm. Torque was decent enough though making overtakes easier than expected. My biggest gripe was the suspension though. The front end was really floaty and bouncy while the rear shock was hard as concrete. I'm sure the rear could be adjusted but I wasn't impressed. It really shows itself up when you push it, I found it did nothing to inspire my confidence. I was really pushing it though.....

For the money go with an SV, Hornet or even Bandit 650. They are all MUCH better bikes.
