Mine were coated too... Think it was ?40 a wheel or thereabouts in a fairly pricey metallic, from the excellent BBS in Edinburgh. I reckon it makes more sense than paint, though paint does have the advantage that it's easy to repair if it gets damaged (whereas powdercoat is hard to damage but the coloured ones are basically impossible to repair invisibly, the coating just doesn't look the same as paint)
Coloured wheels are a very nice mod though, apart from Lissa's, AndyB had white wheels- lovely- and JimmyNumbers had his done in a near-perfect colourmatch, which worked fantastically with the blue.
