Default Re: Restricted SV or something smaller?

Go for the SV mate, two years on a restricted licence will go quicker with a bigger bike. Plus with the SV you can mod it to your liking as there are plenty of after market parts available, if you are into that sort of thing.

If you intend to ride legally, i.e. under 33bhp then I wouldn't go for a restricted SV, in my experience they're horrible when they're restricted! The 0-60 is probably something like 7 or 8 seconds though.
What a load of rubbish, a restricted SV is a great bike and the addition of the torquey engine will be a benefit over smaller bikes. From what I have seen the Curvy seems to react better to restriction than a pointy (both using Suzuki restrictors), i don't know why but in a drag race it just has the edge, in the real world it makes no difference as both a basically the same bike!
