Indeed now you mention it. Best thing imo to do is stay back a bit and keep watch then just as the chance comes up start accelerating to get upto speed by the time you pull out your going a fair bit faster than the vehicle your overtaking. Trick I learnt while limited.
You I noticed pulled out then accelerated. Tends to take a fair bit longer to pull off.
Bit of advice if you want it. Feel free to throw it back though
