Strap your new leds indicator across your battery. They should be nice and bright. Some Leds dont need a resistor added to the circuit, it's got one built in. Have you wired your resistor correctly? They should be across the + and - of the indicator to provide a load for the flashing circuit. They should be bright. Perhaps you have bad connections? Dirty! Check!
