Ye if you ever get the urge to wip it out a good hammer and small chissel or even a screwdriver will get it out! Its very soft mesh that powers to nothing when you tap it. When you have scraped it out any remains in your collector can be blasted out. Dont worry no harm will come to your bike, then simply re-fit your new street extreme. Gaze in wonder the next time you ride it!!
Just think of the baffling as a restriction.
