Dude, you're in denial! I've raced an MZ, was my first ever race series and those guys are the worst! Those MZ's are wolves in sheeps clothing, serious little monsters, the Jack Russell of the racing world. Just when you think you've shaken it off its there snapping at your heals again!

When I look back I wonder how on earth I managed to make it go round corners, in practice I reckon it took me round corners! My mountain bike has a more substantial frame than the MZ I was raggin around on. As you say though, its a perfect grounding for racing.
