Default Maxxis Advert in Bike Mag

Is it just me or is this not the best advert that's ever made it into the mags?

For those who haven't seen it, under the slogan Maxximum Grip there's quite an impressive photo of an orange, maxxis clad bike at great lean angle, in front of two other bikes.

But if you look closer, the ad starts to give things away. First of all, the maxxis riders leathers are scuffed to buggerance. The only one of the three bikes in the pic with scuffs meaning, of the three, he's the only one who'd been down the road. Not good for tyres advtertised as "maxximu grip"!

Of course racers fall off, but not in adverts they don't. Also, the riders boots have definitely seen better days saying the guy is racing on a shoestring. So these are cheap tyres for those who aren't top teams and scraping by. Or in other words, if you've got the money, buy something else.

Alternatively, should we praise Maxxis for "keepin' it Real"! and showing real life instead of a rose tinted version?

As an aside, Anyine tried them?
