Somwhere in between stock & Baph's solution is definetely where you should be. Never mind it getting hot & not working it was never loud enough anyway.
Mine's replaced with a £10 single horn from halfords tucked away where the original roughly was not sure if it's stibel or fiamm, anyway it's loud enough, never fails & was plug & play replacement .
