Default Plowsie's Naked-y-Fying Project

No I will not call it a streetfighter project!!!

The idea is to take of the front fairing and clipons and make the bike into a nice comfortable armchair naked for me.

Just going to use this thread to update with pics and information on what I have done etc. With the bike being a daily user its hard to get a lot done at once, and down to lack of money also.

Monday - went in the garage, made the tea, sat on a chair, ummed and arred, didn't get anything done.
Tuesday - went in the garage, put the tunes on and got cracking. I removed all the upper front and lower fairings and jus left the centre piece in there for the headlight and indis. And to leave a bit of protection for wires etc.

Wednesday, after a full day of siting looking at work, the laughs i gave myself with all the tape over it to cover the visible bare wires and connectors, I decided it be bes to go back to a sort of SV setup with the fairing until things progress a bit more. Basically prepped and ready'd her for the digi speedo/tacho that will go on. So she looks like this atm(less the screen and a mirror).

I am selling the fairing off the bike to fund for the new digi clocks I want for it, so its a waiting game for that. Have looked into wiring issues (as in, fusebox is an open show to rain etc), things can be shoved away and moved Hopefully with my money from the fairings and a combination of a little from the wages I will be able to get my bar risers, bars and mirrors and my digi clocks.

Update - Saturday 24th

Right this evening I have taken the wiring and subframe apart at the front and have strted to do what a lot on the customfighter forum recommend, hidden the wiring down the side of the airbox, will take the tape off the whole lot and rewire it so tht the fusebox and ignition relay have a new home somewhere Will see what it is like getting all the connectors fitted in. I think it should work out nicely and look a tidy job.

Just before I did all of this I took the clocks apart and was looking to makeshift something to house the clocks for a few days. All i could find was a few takeaway boxes, it works though

Pics tomorrow.

Question I do have, can i fit a fuel sensor and it work okay?
