I purchased some Valter Moto peg jack up plates (as they were a lot cheaper than rearsets).
Now the main reason for getting these was for trackdays, I find clearance on the SV limiting, I've been peg and knee down at the same time and it's a bit disconcerting, so figure an extra bit of clearance wouldn't go a miss.
On trial fitting I noticed the peg was moved back approx 2-3 cms, which would have negligible effect on ground clearance. It was also moved up about 1 cm, extra ground clearance, and out about 1 cm due to the thickness of the plate, reducing the lean angle. Simple maths tells me that if the lean angle is 45degress there is no net gain in ground clearance, so is there any point in fitting these to my SV for their original purpose, or am I missing something?
Not quite peg dragging, but I find it does happen:
