That happened to me with a tank mounted camera recently. Luckily it fell onto the clocks but I was coming to a roundabout so had to stop. Trying to stop with no clutch isn't especially comfortable. And to cap it all off, I was right outside a pub... on a sunny day... with loads of people sat outside.
So glad I had a mirrored visor on
