Hi,

following on from my "Hi from a Newbie" thread this morning I have been offered a blue 2003 sv650 for £2.5k (doesn't have the full fairing) - not from this site by the way.

Its done 6.5k miles, looks immaculate, only non-standard items are crash bobbins, diablo tyres, and remus exhaust. Tyres are about 1/3 to 1/2 worn.

Serviced last year so due a service now, he will put a new MOT on it, and it has 10m tax.

I have a couple of questions you might be able to help with....

- Does that seem a fair price? The reason I ask is I have been offered 2006 bikes with less miles for £2.6-£2.8k, so on the face of it £2.5k seems a little on the dear side.
- Will i neede to budget for a hugger & fender extenda if using for commuting in all conditions or are these purely cosmetic
- Will it be due a big service anytime now.
- Are the diablo tyres good everyday tyres?

Any help/opinions you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
