Right well I've talked to the guy at JHS Racing today, and he'd had a call from Akrapovic regarding my issue too! It seems nobody was really aware about the changes, though JHS guy has tried to get around it, he tells me that the diameter of the pipe on the Akra is too small to fit the lambda in there in the right place or whatnot.
The only system he has that they've got working on a k8 is this M4 race system, though that's about as road legal as a blind goose sadly. So I'm going to stick with the standard exhaust, and just moan about "that's what I get for buying a new bike" etc. for the next 6 years or so.
Oh well!
Akrapovic say they don't support the k8 at the moment
In fact they said only up to k6.
