Well - I got myself my new toy!
Thanks to the world-renowned Bank Of Mum (she lent me the money so I could get it before I go on honeymoon in a couple of weeks), I am now the proud owner of a Canon EOS450D with 18-55mm 'kit' lens - and a Tamron 70-300 lens... All for £530 - with a 4GB SDHC card and a mid-sized camera bag included too!
After looking around, I found that
Jessops were the best bet at the minute as their deal including the Tamron lens, memory card and bag seemed unbeatable! (Most others were a little cheaper than that for just the camera and kit lens!!)
Was a bit of a nightmare getting it (long story!) but I am well chuffed!
Can't wait to take some decent pics of New Zealand... Particularly looking forward to the Whale Watching and the 300mm lens!!
