Default New driver, caught speeding...

OK, this isn't about a bike, the driver in question doesn't have one. My friend is just stressing a lot, and I figured I'd ask the opinion of the Mighty .Org.

Just been talking to a friend of mine, and it turns out that she's passed two speed cameras, a little over the limit. Now, when I say a little over the limit, she swears she was doing less than 35mph, in 30mph zones.

This is a little more complex, as she's only had a licence for 18months so is under the 6 point rule.

I have talked her through the whole NIP in 14 days deal, but she's still very stressed.

She's a single parent of two kids, and attends a university course which is a good 30min drive away from home. Public transport is an option for uni, but this would mean a train & a bus, resulting in a journey of at least 1h 15, let alone increased costs.

So, .Org, the question is, if the proverbial hits the you know what, what could she expect? I'm putting money on a hefty fine and an extension to the 6 point rule due to exceptional circumstances.

NB, She's not the type to try & wriggle out of it, this will certainly be a hands up experience with N Wales Police.
