Sorry, in the modern age, they are called meal time assistants! Also, they can be male these days too. (says the woman who worked in a school until last April!)
I refer to my meals as breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although on Sundays, it was high tea when I was a child and we were staying with my Grandma. sadly the drive back to Dorset meant that all of that lovely Sherry Trifle was tasted again...
