If it was piaggio then it's probably worth more. The vietnamise vespa 'supers' are the shoddiest deathtraps on the road. People buy them for a grand with 2 grand postage then get them and they don't work. Take them apart and instead of spending £10 on a new part they've used a weeks labour grinding and machining the parts. Most of the engines are made from tin cans.
The origianl vespas were sold to piaggio I believe which made piaggio vespas from around the 80's then piaggio let an indian company (LML) make all the parts for them in the late 90s until production stopped around 2000 and LML have now started making 'Stars' which are the exact same bike with diffo badges.
