My experience of Dremels for Ally polishing duties is that it spins too fast and takes off too much even with the lightest of touches . I prefer to use a bench grinder with soft buffer wheels mounted on a Mandrel . For harder things like Stainless then fair enough , I tried to Dremel between the spokes on my old KTM to get the polish finish on the Spoke ridge , a couple of incidents made me realise that they are a bit manic for that and elbow grease gave a damn good finish ................................. eventually . The wheels were initially done with a Domestic drill and buffer wheel , Dremel just spattered polishing compound everywhere .
