My new AVG Airtech helmet had it's maiden voyage in the rain today.

I was less than impressed with the rain clearance on the visor.

My old helmet was a Shark, a swift wipe with a leather glove cleared it no probs... but this AVG one just smeared the water leaving blurry patches. I had to pull over and give it a good wipe!

Is this due to it being new?

Will Rainex or something similar do any harm to the visor?
