Remove it, clean it and place it on a level surface to see if its warped or not.

When you go to refit it be careful not to overtighten the bolts, this is a common cause of oil leaks, they should only be tightend to 10Nm. Most of mine is held together with silicone sealent, it has a slight warp.

Clean that side of the engine with degreaser, run the engine and look for any signs of a leak.
