Today, I figured I'd go for a run on the way to a friends house. Knowing that I've been meaning to sort the tyre pressures out for something approaching a fortnight, I called off at a petrol station (with my digital gauge to hand before any comments come in).
I also knew that my front tyre is getting low on tread - and it'll be replaced shortly.
So there I am, on my knees by the front tyre. Air line on & hit the button. Whoosing noise. Check the pressure again, hang on, that's gone down!!
Repeat that a few times, and the front tyre is now at 10psi.
I have thoughts running through my head as to the valve being screwed, but luckily the petrol station also sells Tyre Weld etc. Although the thought also crossed my mind that if the valve is screwed, how would I get the Weld in??
As I'm glancing around swearing to myself inside the lid, I spot something.
"Press Start."
