The Sky+ box (latest generation) comes with a 40Gb hard disk. Tesco direct sell a 1Tb hard disk for £70 or thereabouts. Take the disk out of the external caddy, slap it in the Sky+ box.
Instantly a huge amount more space.

So it will cope with that? assuming I do it right
which is a big assumption. And all it will leave me is loads of TV I'll never watch anyway, the same problem once I reach 1Tb and it'll be harder to find the stuff I do want to watch.
