Cutting the pipe is easy , you then effectively lose the ability to use the original can ..... BUT , you can buy a link pipe to put it back on if you wish , new can just slips over the old pipe and is secured in place with an exhaust ring clamp and you can also add a bit of Holts Firegum or similar to the join if you so wish .
