That they were, and a lot of friendly bikers were out that eve as well, stopping to ask if I was ok. Also the car driver that helped me dragged the bike to the side, as they narf certainly weigh some when on the floor lying wounded.
Although the recovery truck driver wasn't as nimble using the electric hoist to drag her up his ramp...I bet he added to the fairing damage.
Well I'd like to think it was my 1st & last, but I doubt that very much especially as I can't wait to get back on the bike, or failing that a replacement.
The worst part about it all, is the thought of having to commute into London by train again. What a nightmare that is - I was glad to see the back of that when I got the bike.
Well, I'm hoping the "young lady" is just a little bit battered up, seeing as Mr DavePreston informs me that the curvys are quite indestructable. So hopefully, a few upgrades will see her back on the road again very soon.
If not, I'll be dismantling her and selling the parts on
