Unless you do alot of trackdays, I find I seem to have about 2mm of tread more at the sides on the rear.. IE 1mm in centre, I may have 3 or 4 at the sides, yet no chicken strip. Simply because there isn't the space on the public road to push the edges so tread wear is less. Hopefully with the Roadsmarts I'm eventually going to get, I'll see a more rounded profile for longer, which I think is the point of the sport touring multi-compound tyres.
