I'm a United fan, and yes he throws his dummy. And no, he is not even that good, he had a very purple season this season, plays when he only wants to play.

To rate him as a great player, you have to understand his style of football, his creativity, he can pull this off sometime, when he wants to. As a creative, attacking footballer, yes, up there with the best, along with Messi, Ronaldinho and Kaka, but IMO not better than any of them.

But, IMO, a great footballer all round is somebody like Steven Gerrard, David Beckham, Michael Ballack or Wayne Rooney. They do not only attack, they defend and do their bit for the team, never give up, they can also bang in a few cracking goals and do a great job of controlling a game. Ronaldo has always been a one man band that goes alone and says fook it you lot can defend this. Once or twice I have seen him chasing back this season. As with Dimatar Berbatov, he took the critisism like this, and in his first game he was given to improve, the man was all over the pitch as he knew his neck was on the line. Ronaldo on the other hand is arrogant/ignorant, whatever you wanna call him, he knows open arms will welcome him at great teams.
