I'm a strong believer that the name that you give your kids will influence their personality. Don't call your kid Quentin or Roderick, he won't thank you for it in later life. I'd go for something fairly traditional and a name that can easily be shortened. Johnathon, David, Michael, Christopher, Stephen etc. If you want some thing unusual, I'd keep it for the middle name.
