So I'm riding home Thursday morning around 1am and not 100 Meters from home.
As I Pass a junction on my left an on-coming car decides to cut the corner and hit me head on doing about 30.
I get flung off the bike, bullseye her windscreen with my face and flip over the car.
I've seen similar on you tube before but now I've experienced the flipping head over heels through the air like a rag doll thing myself and I have to say, it's a strange feeling!
It's not smooth at all, very jerky, and I think damn...I'm flying...1st rotation...
Then my feet flip round again and I feel my head dragged down, the my head whip up and my feet down, and I'm thinking, I'm still flying? ...this probably looks kinda impressive....yes..I actually thought that *sigh*
Onto the 3rd rotation I'm thinking I hope I don't land on my *crunch* as I land on my head *sigh*.
Pretty much no skidding as I'm told from two eye witnesses that my flight was more vertical than horizontal.
Bike is totalled as the front end is crushed, the whole bike fliiped round so it's facing the other way, tank venting fuel at a rapid pace, and the top box flew open and ejected my 5 litre jerry can of petrol to land next to me (Thanks!).
So I'm lying there, with my "On Fire Racing" T-shirt under my leathers thinking "Boy..this would be a really bad time for Irony".
I get up feeling a little bruised but otherwise fine, the girl in the car seems more shaken than me, she didn't see me apparently.....
At this point I check the bike and sure enough lights are on (Switch them off and engage kill switch due to petrol....) so not sure why on a straight road coming towards her she didn't see me but meh....
Turns out she lives about 10 meters from the junction and I'm not much further myself...typical.
Police and Ambo turn up very quickly and she admits liability to both so insurance should be ok.
Turns out I've sprained my neck, wrist, and chipped a bone in my left big toe which is swolen and makes walking very hard so I'm on crutches but otherwise fine considering!
Helmet is a write off as I landed on it but it did the job and the leathers, I'm amazed, unless you really look you have a hard time telling they've been in an off!
Pics of bike below:

All in all I'm pretty lucky, nothing that won't heal in a week or so, and insurance should be open shut!
Car was damaged when the bike pushed the front of the car back into the engine block and I've totaled her windscreen.
All in all a fun was to start the weekend
