I had the opposite, I ran a climbing wall, taught climbing, worked freelance on days off teaching climbing and when I was not working... I went on climbing holidays.
Sport climbing in Sardinia was one of the best trips I ever went on.
If you get the chance, there are some amazing places in this country well worth checking out. The Peak district, Tremadog when Snowdonia is rained out, Baggy Point and of course if you are just passing through, Bristol has a multi pitch inner city crag called Avon Gorge.
