there are diffrent ways, but the common ways are polorised glasses, each eye diffrent and so each sees a diffrent pic but this can be lower res, this only realy works in cinemas
the other way is special glasses that can can do somthing called blanking/shuttering, they need a sync signal from the screen.
both ways above give full color 3d
the otherways give the red/green 3d
