I need to learn a proper knot so I dont look a knob when I'm tying things down.
Imagine I'm tying down a load inside a tranny van to the hooks.
I want a knot where I pull it and it gets tighter, but when I want to release it I do something simple and it releases, not sit there 5 minutes picking away at the rope.
Similarily for tying a bike to a trailer, securing a bike to a platform for work etc.
I know ratchet straps are the answer, but they're never there when you need them.
