Sounds very similar to the recipe we use from the Nigella book. Had them this morning with maple syrup nom nom nom

Used to use Jamies recipe but it was such a faff, separate eggs, whisk the whites etc etc

Lu, my OH, makes the flour mix up as a big batch so its a set measure of that to one egg, bit of milk and melted butter, really yummy
