My used 650S has a front OE Dunlop on the front nearing the end of its life, but the bike has just been fitted (by its previous owner) a brand new OE Dunlop !!

Now I've read that the Dunlops are pants - but that you need to keep the front and rears compatible !!

I do about 200 miles a week boring commuting ..... so want the best combination of cheapish, safe, and preferably hard wearing tyres (if poss.)

So, without wasting the new rear - what to do ??

Another Dunlop ??
Mix until the rear wears out ?? .... and with what ??
Anyone tried/recommend the Avon VP2 Sports, Maxxis, or another relatively budget tyres I can wear out getting to work ...
