Its down to personal preference, but I wouldn't mix and match tyres. If it was me, I would take the wheels off the bike, take them to my local tyre fitter who can fit Avons to loose wheels for £160. He would then quite happily give me the nearly new one back.....then either sell or retain in case of an emergency.
