Hey folks, seeing as a lot of you mean a lot to me and I have come to think of the Org as a second home when I am not on B3ta (a bad place that nice girls and boys should not go), I thought I would share some news with you.
Carol and I officially got engaged yesterday in a park in Bristol. We swapped rings in a beautiful quiet park and as she slid the ring on my finger, she asked me to marry her. I think that I may have cried a little.
My ring is wonderful, and as you would expect of me is a little unusual. It is a polished stainless steel band with a silver band set over the top and engraved with a celtic knot. Being typical lesbian women though, our rings are identical!
It was a big day for us and it started with a run on Silvie, Carol handled her beautifully, although there were a couple of moments when I thought we were going to fly into the sun. Once we were in Bristol, we sorted out a little business and then went to a little cafe and had brunch before heading for a walk to the park.
I am so happy, Carol is my soulmate and every day that we spend together brings us so much joy. I am so in love and I am very, very happy. We still have a few financial problems to over come, but after yesterday most of them are being resolved. Life is hopefully going to become stable for us in the near future and then who knows what will come.
We have not yet set a date for the big day, that can wait for now and to be honest, being engaged is a big enough step for me so far. So hopefully in a few years time, Carol and I will be able to update you with a date for our civil partnership. Until then, I will just have to get back to my knitting.
