My bike (K4) is doing something very similar - went to the garage this morning and had no dips - main beams worked ok. I can get the dip beam to work by jiggling the wire under the clocks inside the fairing nose, unfortunately it was too dark to see what's up with it!

I also had a lot of flicker riding in where the uneven road surface shakes the head around
