So whats the furthest you ever had to push a bike to get fuel? It took me over an hour and a half to push the bike 2000 yards (according to multimap!) once. It was relatively flat, but slightly undulating country lane, and by christ, in full armoured winter textile jacket (including bodywarmer) and leather trousers, with a helmet hanging off a wing mirror, every slight undulation up I never noticed before was excruciatingly tough - sometimes I'd push it literally a few feet and stop for a breather!
