Thanks for all your input guys.

It took around 3 hours for the fizzing sound to stop after putting the liquid in, so I shoved the caps on then, and stuck it on the charger. It charged up to 14.2v whereas my old one only ever got to 13.7v.

This morning I shoved it on the bike, and after 5 mins of trying (which is 4mins 45 secs more than my old battery could manage) it started

Now I think I need to treat my bike to an oil change
