Problems fitting Blueflame exhaust
Just wondering if anyone has had problems fitting an aftermarket exhaust to a K8 SV650S?
I ordered a twin port exhaust from Blueflame at the NEC show. I've had two goes at fitting it both unsuccessful due to the design of the suppled link pipes.
The first link pipe was supplied incorrectly (wrong model year) however the new one is not a lot better. The problem is that the exhaust when fitted does not follow the line of the bike. It angles away from the bike at about 10 degrees. I've looked at the stock exhaust and it has an bend of about 32 degrees - the Blueflame link pipe has a bend of 22 degrees. Blueflame will look at the problem after the holiday break but I'm not convinced they are that interested.
I've attached some photos which show the problem. Blueflame seem to be the only company that have 3 specific link pipes. I can't see anything that would make my SV any different to a K7 or earlier except for the oxygen sensor. Is this a know problem with K8 models or is it Blueflame. Any suggestions or advice would be welcome particularly if you have fitted an exhaust to a K8/K9.
Thanks
