Right, I just got a good bottle of white rum for Christmas and last night, I completely failed to make a Mojito. Here is what I did:
Put loads of mint into a cup with a big spoonful of Molasses cane sugar. Added lots of rum, squished it all together with a rolling pin, added soda water to a pint and lots of ice cubes.
It tasted AWFUL.
Now I know I forgot lime, and although I thought molasses sugar would be nice it kind of tastes of liquorice and was sick. So what is the secret, anyone know a killer recipe?
