Default Re: Fair Cop - Advice Please

Feel for you Matt. I got stopped for 90 on Lancaster lane at about 5am one morning. (30 limit) he asked me what I was doing and said I was looking at the road not my speedo, what was the limit. Told him and he said I was safe and at that time of day and visibility unlikely to be a danger to my self or other. But if it was winter or raining it would be a different matter. So think on and left me to consider myself rebuked.

Coppers on the motorway followed/overtook/waved me by from the M57/M60/M61 to chorley when we were both doing about 135 as I left the motorway. He put his hand up to me as I went up the sliproad.

I think most of us have gotten away with it, that when they do get us it is overdue. Sometimes unjustly, my first points ever (33 years of licence) was 3 years ago, going down Sheephill at 35mph by a scamera van. I was told by others that most forces would not do me and as it was the scamera lot they should have offered a speed awareness course.

Got my own back on the scamera a few weeks later. He was on Preston Road just after the pines. I parked up behind him to destroy his view and walked down to the halfway house for a shandy. He had gone by the time I came back. Next time I will make a call to get someone to park tight in front before I do it and effectively block him in for the day
